WHAT IS THE GATEWAY?
6-Week Family Experience combining Boardgame Nights & Adventures; gamified on a social app where you compete & share with the world!
WHAT IS KICKSTARTER?
Kickstarter is a crowdfunding site and it exists to bring creative projects to life. Many board games have successfully launched through their platform.
Let The Games Begin
On day one, before you start playing, each family member must read out loud and sign the Family Agreement. Go into the Gateway App and post a picture of your family holding the board game. This starts your 6-week timeline and the clock starts ticking.
STEP 1
Play the board game. Roll the regular dice to see how many spaces to advance. Then roll the black dice to determine which playing card to choose; TRUTH, FUTURE or JOY. Answer the question or take the action the card states. Warning. This is deep work. So be ALL IN!
STEP 2
Make sure to take at least two pictures of your family playing the game. Print the picture for your Capture the Memories poster. Go to the Gateway App, click Game Nights and post the pictures. Your points are automatically accumulated in your profile for each week of Game Nights.
STEP 3
At the end of every game night, you choose the Family Adventure from one of the six categories and go on your adventure that week. Make sure to use your Adventure Planning Worksheet to be prepared.
STEP 4
Go to the Gateway App, post your Family Adventure from the list of categories. Your points will automitically accumilate in the app. Each Adventure has a different amount of points assigned so make sure to click the exact Adventure you completed so that the points given match your experience.
REPEAT
Every week you repeat this pattern. Game Night then post pics. Family Adventures then post pics. Plan ahead. On weeks that your family is busy, you may have to choose an easier Adventure but if you plan the game properly, you can make up your points through Bonus Adventures.
HOW TO WIN
In order to be eligible to enter Gateway contests, you must have a minimum of 600 points by way of Game Nights and Family Adventures points only within exactly six weeks from your first post in the app to your last. You can accumulate more points by commenting and liking other families playing the game to accumulate more points and be eligible for additional contest entries.
